Aim High New Program 2011

If you are a person with Down syndrome over 18, you might be interested in the Aim High Program.  The 2007-2008 Pilot Project was so successful that an ongoing Club was formed for participants in 2009, and is still continuing in 2011.  A new Aim High Program will also commence in 2011 for another group of young adults.  We already have a list of participants for this year's new program.  However, we hope to run the Program again whenever we have funds to do this.  So if you are interested but have missed out this time, look out for future programs.  We have also had some interest from the country.  If you live in a country area and would like to do the Program, let us know.  It might be possible to run the Program in your local area if enough people are interested and local funding can be obtained.  Click HERE to contact us about doing the Program.

The new aim high program, for another group of young people, will commence on Saturday 26th February 2011.

Notices have already gone out to those on the waiting list, staff have been engaged, a venue set up and the program is being planned.

An information night will be held on Wednesday 23rd February, 7.30pm - 9pm, at the Aim High Venue.  A letter is being sent out to families with details.  The information night will be a great opportunity for participants and families to meet staff and volunteers, and also for participants and families to meet each other.

At the information night you will hear about the program and you will be able to discuss any details or concerns.  There will also be an opportunity to chat informally over coffee afterwards.

Keep checking this page for information and updates. We hope to re-run the program whenever funding is available.
