Employment

There are a number employment options available to people with Down syndrome entering the workforce. 

  • Open Employment - working independently in the community with no support services.
  • Supported Employment - working in an integrated setting and receiving support to learn the skills necessary to enter the workplace.
  • Business Services - working in self-contained settings with others who have disabilities without the integration of non-disabled workers.
