Weight Management

It is not inevitable for adults with Down syndrome to be overweight or obese.  Although most people with Down Syndrome have a lower metabolic rate, a combination of a healthy diet and an active lifestyle will enable most adults to maintain their weight.

 

Promoting and maintaining a healthy weight requires plenty of thought and planning for adults with Down syndrome and their support network.
